Could you coach and mentor entrepreneurial job seekers to sustain their businesses to grow and become independent? We are recruiting for a large not-for-profit delivering a cutting edge new government contract in place for the next 2 years. They have won awards for how well they treat their staff, and have heaps of opportunities for people looking to progress their careers.
Background: Job seekers that decide to go self-employed receive support through universal credit, until their business fully sustains them. They receive support from Universal Credit within a 12 month window. This means the first 12 months of their business is critical for them and this is where you come in.
What you will do: You will coach and mentor people who are self-employed or recent business owners to develop and grow their income to become fully independent. You will meet with them regularly on a one to one basis, review their business plan and cash-flow forecasts, and look at ways to help them grow, develop and sustain their business. You could provide advice and guidance on marketing or sales, managing finances, and developing a customer base.
Who are you? This could vary. But people that have worked as Employment Advisors and have actively helped people to go self-employed could be a good fit. They would also look at people with a strong sales background, as being able to support people to generate revenue will be a valuable skill.
