Procurement Administrator Milton Keynes – £10.34ph PAYE 6 Month Contract
A client of mine is looking for a Procurement Administrator to join the Business Services Group within their business. The Procurement Team within the business provides a professional procurement service that offers efficiency, value and eases of use to our customers and is expert in sourcing, buying and supplier management in the markets vital to client’s services’ delivery to its customers. The Procurement Team provides value added procurement services and commercial advice. It is responsible for the procurement of all goods and services, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, including EU procurement legislation, and adoption of procurement best practice.
As a Procurement Administrator you will assist the Procurement Team in providing efficient and effective administrative support to manage the procurement process for a range of goods and services that provide value for money.
The successful candidate will be efficient when processing of purchase orders and effective sourcing of supplies/services to meet specified requirements; Update and maintenance of administrative systems and processes which enable managers to monitor and analyse spend patterns and formulate procurement plans; Provision of general guidance and information to staff and suppliers concerning procurement policies and procedures to improve compliance and expedite transactions. Furthermore you will be responsible of Tracking and resolution of discrepancies identified in the Purchase 2 Pay process to ensure supplier invoices match delivery notifications and costs are allocated to the appropriate category and business service areas and liaise with requisitions to check requirements and answer queries on Purchase orders, confirming order placement or procurement arrangements made, as appropriate.
Ability to organise and prioritise work to achieve deadlines
Good oral and written communication skills
IT literate, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Numerical and analytical skills able to quantify and interpret data and demonstrate attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to take initiative, identify and respond to business service requirements
Familiarity with database systems for filing and retrieval of data, typing and formatting of Word documents, use of e-mail communication
Previous experience of working in Procurement
Familiarity with PRISM/ORACLE or similar management information system
Experience of or an interest in working in a corporate commercial Procurement environment
